The following new images taken by the Imaging Science Subsystem (ISS) on the Cassini spacecraft are now available:
- Shadowy Veil (Released 10 March 2008)
Saturn's southern hemisphere is glimpsed through the gossamer veil of its rings. Ring shadows adorn the low northern latitudes. - Inspecting the Edge (Released 11 March 2008)
The Cassini spacecraft stares at the Huygens Gap -- the region between Saturn's outer B ring and the ringlets of the prominent Cassini Division -- in this high-resolution view. - Titan Slips Away (Released 12 March 2008)
The Cassini spacecraft captured this color portrait of Saturn and Titan only a few minutes before the haze-enshrouded moon slipped behind the planet's enormous bulk. - Maxwell's Namesake (Released 13 March 2008)
The Cassini spacecraft examines the Maxwell Gap -- the large, dark division at center -- which is surrounded on either side by the broad, isolated and bright ring regions, or "plateaus," of Saturn's outer C ring. - Titan Approaches Saturn (Released 14 March 2008)
Swathed in its thick blanket of atmosphere, frigid Titan approaches the brilliant limb of Saturn.
All of the Cassini images are archived here.
