The following new images taken by the Thermal Emission Imaging System (THEMIS) on the Mars Odyssey spacecraft are now available:
- Russell Crater Dunes (Released 17 March 2008)
This beautiful dune field is located on the floor of Russell Crater in the Noachis region of Mars. - Ganges Chasma (Released 18 March 2008)
This VIS image shows a portion of the floor of Ganges Chasma. - Small Volcano (Released 19 March 2008)
This small volcanic construct is located in the Tharsis region. - Windblown Region (Released 20 March 2008)
Located near Amazonis Mensa, this region show in this VIS image has undergone considerable erosion due to blowing winds. - Cerulli Crater (Released 21 March 2008)
The channels at the top of this VIS image are dissecting the northern rim of Cerulli Crater.
