Spacecraft Mission Timelines

Timelines are divided into three categories -- Planetary Science, Astrophysics and Heliophysics.

Operational mission durations are shown with filled blue, brown (Mars missions) and gray (Lunar missions) bars. Future missions under implementation are shown with a green bullet . Missions under study, pre-formulation or formulation are shown with a gray bullet , and then a light blue bar as expected duration.

Please note that these are probable mission durations and serve as guidance only.

Pan a timeline by dragging it horizontally or using your mouse-wheel. Click on an event to get more information.
